For a time, I was under the impression that I would have to hock Jesus Unplugged from the trunk of my car. I was really dreading that. I'm neither skilled in nor interested in sales. But I was wrong. FaithWalk asked me to do three things: Have pre-release book-signing parties, speak whenever I can, and contact local media.
This Atlanta swing developed as a part of what FaithWalk asked me to do, since I'm originally from the Atlanta area, and I have family and friends there. Thanks to my sister, Susan Ashe, senior pastor of First UMC, Dacula, for the invitation to speak there; to Bob and Janet Gary, my folks and long-time members of Glenn Memorial UMC, who organized everything at Glenn Memorial, and who scheduled interviews with the press, etc.; and to Wesley Wachob, senior pastor at Glenn Memorial, for his gracious invitation to preach January 8.
