Explaining the Title:
The "boys at MTV" (Music Television) should enjoy the dubbing of this book Jesus Unplugged, a reference to their program where artists play in a small, up-close-and-personal venue, minus the massive amplification and cavernous arenas usually associated with rock concerts.
It is mesmerizing to have the distance between the artist and the audience removed. There they are, musician and fans face to face. For the artist there is nowhere to hide, putting his creativity on the line, live with cameras rolling, and no second takes.
That is what is meant by Jesus Unplugged: live-and-in-person, up-close-and-personal, face-to-face, fully exposing Jesus at his raw and provocative best.
